Serpent Moon

Serpent Moon

Greetings yogis on this second day of the 11 month. Today we find the Moon exalted in his own sign, Cancer which is ruled by the Moon. This watery sign holds our deep emotions and is a sign of sensitivity though its symbol is the crab, denoting a hard protective shell. More specifically the Moon is in a star constellation or Nakshatra, called Aslesha, which is symbolized by the coiled serpent of the deep. Aslesha is ruled by the planet Mercury, which balances its highly telepathic energy with the logical and analytic mental energy of Mercury, an air planet.

Aslesha represents the energy body, chakra system and kundalini potential of the central current of power of the subtle spine or sushumna. Individuals with their ascendant or Moon position here carry a sixth sense. Collectively there is a stirring of deep potential awakening in humanity and an urge toward release from restrictive structures imposed by control and power oriented beings.

This is further supported and enhanced by Jupiter and Ketu traveling together now in Leo, ruled by the Sun. Leo is the fire sign of leadership and authority and in addition they are in the naskhatra, Magha, which represents power structures and patriarchal lineages.

Ketu is the south node of the Moon and is deeply spiritual. It cuts away all that is not in alignment with purity, love, light and truth. This can be a ruthless energy and yet it brings freedom. Jupiter is the most benevolent and spiritual of the planets, who also governs finances, justice, peace and well-being for (wo)mankind.

We are i a time of upheaval, when old structures are seen to be out of alignment with Divine and Universal law and they will be corrected. This is the energy coming in and depending on the level of awakening of the people can erupt in destructive violence. We are cautioned to unify in wisdom and divine justice and embody our own divine power to manifest the world we wish to see. It is time for Heaven and Earth to merge.

The ascendant position today is Scorpio, ruled by the energetic Mars. Scorpio is another emotionally charged water sign in which feelings are hidden in the deep psyche and what appears on the surface is not the whole story. The Nakshatra here is Anurada, Meaning another Rada. Rada was the cherished lover of Lord Krishna and her energy is one of sublime unconditional devotional love.

It is time now, more than ever to shift our focus to the purity of divine love for the Creator, coupled with deep humility, gratitude and courage to follow inner guidance.

This reading is based on the sidereal Vedic perspective from the system called Jyotisha, which means the bringer of Light. If you wish to have your birth chart read, please reach out.
