It’s a Libra Day and last day of Navaratri!
Today we find a grouping of planets in the mid heavens, in the astrological sign or Rashi, called Libra, ruled by Venus. Libra is symbolized by the scales of Justice, with three possible nakshatras the planets can sit in. All of these are represented today. The Sun, is in the nakshatra, Chitra, the divine architect, Venus is exalted and reversed in Swati, the highly determined forever student compared to a delicate flower pushing through a rock, the rising star or Ascendant is also in Swati who also carries the energy of Saraswati, the Goddess revered today on the last day of the nine nights of the Goddess and finally Mercury is in the nakshatra, Vishaka, who represents a fork in the road and the road less traveled. Vishaka is also highly ambitious and satisfied only by the ultimate divine connection.
What does mean for the collective consciousness? Whenever we have three of more planets in one sign, we find the energy of the renunciate, who chooses the inward path to realization of what is ultimately true. That this energy is in the sign of diplomacy, collaboration, justice and peace, activates the imperative to find the middle road, or the road less traveled. We are called to envision the path which brings balance to the earth and the earth beings. The answers are within.
That Venus is retrograde asks us to review our patterns in relationships and where love was derailed by expectation, judgement, inappropriate attachments and unhealthy dependencies.
Old loves may resurface or patterns we thought grown out of may rear their inconvenient heads.
And we may feel called to finally release and heal the additive fantasies of love fulfilled on the outside.
Mercury is the planet of communication. Mercury, like his Roman counterpart, Hermes is the messenger of the gods and brings healing remedies. Discover your inner guidance toward that path of resolution and peace within yourself and intuit how you use your words and deeds for the benefit of all.
The moon is in Capricorn, an earth sign that represents structure, determination, loyalty and commitment. Capricorn is ruled by the taskmaster Saturn who makes us pay our dues. The moon’s nakshatra is Dhanistha, the wealthy and the famous. In this case wealth is achieved by connection and collaboration and guidance to that end comes from Dhanistha’s ability to hear divine guidance. Remember that the Moon is our deepest psyche, whereas the Sun is the more external self.
Today we celebrate Saraswati the divine goddess of rhythm, sound, timing and wisdom. Her mantra is
AUM SRIM SARASWATAYAI NAMAHA.
Honor the goddess of ultimate wisdom today. May she bless us with clarity, equanimity and a vision of the world we want to see as well and the courage, and balanced strength to manifest this world in collaboration with other awakened souls.
