Hasta Full Moon; Healing Hands

This Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, the Full Moon is in the Earth sign Virgo in Vedic Astrology.

The astrology of Inner light and awakening based on sidereal calculations.

Virgo is the natural 6th house. Virgo is the Virgin Sun Queen who brings abundance to the people of the Earth through fuel and seeds. On this day the ASC (rising) star is in Aries, ruled by Mars, in the Nakshatra, Aswini, the twin Horse Gods who carry the power to initiate, fix any problem, especially emergencies, cure disease and heal and fulfill desires. This star constellation is ruled by the south node of the Moon, Ketu. Ketu is an internalizing deeply spiritual energy, that cuts to the core and reveals illusion. Venus the planet of beauty, harmony and abundance is also with the ASC, in Ashwini. This creates a 6/8 angle with the Full Moon, which is deeply karmic. Venus struggles here as he in in a fire sign.

We are also still in Kala Sharpa, the karmic serpent of time, when hidden truths are revealed and a deep karmic cleansing is playing out on the world stage.

And we are in a “Finger of God” with all the planets except Jupiter in the 6th, 7th and 8th from the Full Moon. This signals a time of great portent in the evolution of man and womankind. All the planets are direct, which is unusual, so it is full steam ahead and with Jupiter the great benevolent Guru in Gemini ruled by the planet of the mind, Mercury, we see mental chaos preceding a dawning of a new age after the storm. These energies will continue to impact the world until we get some relief when Jupiter moves into his exalted position in Cancer in early June.

More about the Moon and how we can utilize this energy now.

The Moon is in the Nakshatra, Hasta, which mean the hand. Hasta is also ruled by the Moon, so this magnifies the Lunar energy. Remember the Moon is the planet or luminary of our deepest psyche and emotions. He is the Divine Mother.

Hasta brings the energy of healing with the hands, whether this is through the arts, building things, growing, creating or hands on healing. The power of touch. Hasta also means “she who manifests her hearts’ desire in the palm of her hand.”

This Nakshatra is a great boon, because it indicates the supportive energy of the Universe to manifest our deepest heartfelt and dharmically aligned wish. It is a Nakshatra of great power entrusted to the pure of heart and innocent. Liken it to the story in the Lord of the Rings of Bilbo Baggins, a humble and simple hobbit, who is the only one with the inner purity to carry the potentially corrupting power of golden ring which the dark forces seek in order to completely consume the world.

So, in this gift, there is great responsibility to use discernment, align with inner purity and light and walk in simplicity and faith, embodying Universal law through actions and words. There is also a sense of the threat of overwhelm at the magnitude of the responsibility in the hands of the meek and mild to carry forward the power that will heal the world, in the face of great challenge and seemingly insurmountable odds. And yet, that is the gift. The Universe is with us in this endeavor.

Hasta cannot lose.

This Full Moon energy with is with us now and will continue all week.

Know you are pure of heart. Take time in stillness contemplating the eternal goodness of life itself and move from your inner guidance to fulfill your dharma or life’s purpose, fearlessly.
