All You Need is LOVE, Moon in Anurada

This week begins with Easter Monday and the Moon in the Nakshatra, Anurada in Scorpio, the deepest water sign of our inner psyche. The story of Christ is a story of Love, showing us that great love is also great pain and sacrifice. He died on the cross to show us his great love.

Love manifests in four ways:

The Love of mother and child.

The Love of friendship.

The Love of service to an ideal.

And perhaps sweetest and most blissful, the Love of Lovers.

All of these loves carry the double edged sword of sorrow and loss, that cuts to the core of our souls. This grief of loss is a deeply purifying energy, that breaks our hearts open and has the capacity to either render us bitter and cynical or capable of holding even greater love in the vessels of our being.

Anurada means another Rada. Rada was the great love of Lord Krishna in his youth. Theirs was a sweet, intense and deeply pure and devotional love that transcended worlds and was the subject of many epic poems in India.

Krishna came into embodiment to slay a great Demon King, who upon hearing about the boy ordered all boys under three to be killed, much like the story we are familiar with in the Bible. For protection Krishna was sent into the country side to be raised in a small village where he met and fell in love with Rada. Alas, as he grew to manhood , his destiny lead him to go forth and eventually command great armies, slay the Demon King, become a King himself and marry into his station in life. Rada’s great passion became great pain and longing that was sublime and transformative.

In the epic tale, Bhagavad Gita about a great war between two factions of a family, representing good and evil, Krishna teaches his student and friend, Arjuna that he must stay centered in love for his Divine Lord and hold awareness in his consciousness of the opposing polarities of life on Earth.

That which nurtures and preserves and that which is cruel and destroys.

In holding the center which does not get swept away in the great drama, he becomes an instrument of the Karma of Time, which purifies all into the frequency of love.

We can see as Mars enters Pisces with Saturn and the Sun, we are in a time of great trouble, destruction and violence. We can be in love with life deeply and be in great pain as we witness these events. It is our practice to hold space for both love and pain and stand centered in right action based in clarity. To deny the pain we deny the love and to deny the love we deny the pain. Through being with the intensity of both, while consumed by neither we PURIFY.

The world is purifying. We grieve and we love and we do what we can for our local communities, families and the earth.
