Detachment

I’d like to discuss the value of detachment.

What is detachment?

Detachment is an expansive state of being, in which you anchor into perception of the underlying fabric of what we call reality as pure loving presence, light and harmony.

What is the feeling that arises when we witness the rising of the glory and power of the sun over a snow capped peak in a magnificent mountain range? What is the awakening of the mind/heart connection in the presence of radiance of life force bestowing the spark of creation simply to be beauty. What is the upliftment we feel in the presence of beauty, the fragrance of a rose, the sweetness of a young child excited as he or she walks for the first time, the sublime stillness of a sunset. Who is this divine artist and what is our relationship with it?

Who is the perceiver of the beauty, glory, expression of life? Who is the witness? What a gift it is to witness life. Is there a core seed of perception within that is actually one with the purity of all of creation and can we align with this core truth?

Yes.

It is simple. Go into the heart. Drop into silence. The dialogue of the surface mind the yogis called Manas will persist, but a separation from that dialogue can be experienced and this separation brings the discernment to chose where to direct our focus. An analogy can be of a stone resting at the bottom of the stream in deep peace and stillness while the turbulent flow of water on the surface continues. The depth is all the water. The surface is the water interfacing with other elements like wind, gravity, obstacles. The depth of the expansive soul of you is always there while you interface with the events of life.

Detachment strengthens as you drop into the depths of you. Some mistakenly confuse detachment with lack of care or involvement in the trials of mankind. This is not my experience Detachment actually allows for the perception of all that is, from the dark underbelly of what we call evil, to the most sublime. There is enough space in the psyche to hold the polarity of opposites as true and simultaneous, without getting sucked into drama, judgement, or denial and spiritual bypass.

Tapping into the deep truth of the eternal self that is part of the eternal ocean of creation, gives the resilience and strength to be a peaceful warrior, holding light in the center of your consciousness that automatically purifies the overall evolution of mankind’s ability to live in harmony with Universal Principals. This does not imply inaction. It inspires action in alignment with what is most beneficial and true.

Detachment is not a cold withdrawal from the chaos of life, it is an anchoring in the deep peace and loving presence that is the source of life and renewal. That spark of life, light and love that created us, sustains us and will return us to itself to rest, reclaim rate and perhaps come back to engage in maya again, if that is our destiny.

The yogis call this seed of consciousness aligned with clarity and love, Purusha, which translates to mean the Great Person. We all have this within. Aligning with this core of Self brings peace, compassion and the clarity that inspires action that harmonizes. It is no wonder that the most important and oldest mantra from the Vedas or recorded volumes of knowledge brought to us via direct transmission from the 7 Rishis, is the Gayatri mantra, or mantra of light, that humbly invokes the power of the creator, embodied as the solar deity, Surya, to illumine our hearts and minds so that we may see and comprehend clearly.

In this chaotic times of exposure of the corruption of power structures and those involved at the top of our worldly pyramid, either in government, financial structures, education, media, entertainment, sports, it is wise to spend time grounding in what is eternal, constant and true, through contemplation of the beauty of nature, deep stillness, artistic expression, connection with like minded community and envisioning the world we want to see. Ultimately this exposure of the dark underbelly of power, will also bring to light suppressed technologies of advanced healing and free energy, which have been withheld because they threatened the grip of existing power structures.

The resulting changes will come from grass roots, heart based communities, decentralized systems and the expression of mankind free to innovate, invent, create and live in harmony with the essence of all life on earth which is collaboration, beauty and love.
